Learning to draw
Once the need to learn a skill is obvious, help turns up. Now my local art association does weekly free classes, but originally, the Denver Botanic Garden drawing classes made drawing fun and easy. They start with simple shapes and shading them light to dark; soon a circle becomes a ball, a cone becomes 3D using 2D, and a box looks empty or closed. Pencils are my favorite medium, both in color and black, gray, and white. I even did cartoons for a family member.
