A Small Taste
The challenge: Make a gift for my cousin’s son’s wedding. Since silversmithing is my avocation, I thought a commemorative spoon would be fun, and it was. The long slender silver spoon had hearts at the handle top and where the bowl connected, and I was delighted with it.
That led to some what-if thoughts, the kind which becomes creative designing, and these small spoons are a small taste of that thinking. What if I textured the handle? What would a series of hammered shapes along the edge look like? What if the bowl was smaller/round/bigger? So far, these are my small taste spoons, a small taste of what-iffing, a small taste of creating a spoon, and spoons for small tastes of something!
